About Swanthana

Swanthana Seva Samithi

(SSS) is a Non-profitable Humanitarian Grassroots Relief and Development Facilitator to promote transformed communities with an assured sustainability. It serves children, families and communities living in poverty and injustice regardless of religion, caste, race, ethnicity or gender.

`Swanthana’ (in Sanskrit) means ` – COMFORT
`Seva’ means ` – SERVICE
and `Samithi’ means – ORGANIZATION
It is an organization that serves for the wholistic solace of the poor and marginalized.

Swanthana is in expansion while we have our presence at the moment in four different States in India Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Orissa and Bihar. Our involvement in Andhra Pradesh more in terms of number of districts, say, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Prakasam and Nellore districts.

The following are the Zones and States, where Swanthana currently having operations in the Visakhapatnam, Swanthana is working in 49 slums in 7 Cluster. Gajuwaka Cluster, Kancharapalem Cluster, Arilova cluster, Madhurawada Cluster, Gopalapatnam Cluster, Gnanapuram Cluster and Old Town cluster in Urban Area of Visakhapatnam. And also Swanthana is working in Tribal areas of Aruku and Ananthagiri Mandals and Paderu with the support of the Partnership NGOs and likeminded NGOs.

Our Team in Visakhapatnam operates the ministry centrally and several qualified and dedicated staff are on board to implement the projects and give leadership to the organization across. Besides Swanathana’s Board, we have active Christian leaders and philanthropists formed as an `Advisory Council’ in Visakhapatnam who works with the staff and field voluntaries along.
